Travel to Egypt

If you bought a trip to Egypt at a travel agency, We do not have to worry about the flight - it is included in the price of the trip and is provided by the organizer. However, individual tourists also have various options for flights to Egypt to choose from, both on charter cruises, and regular.

Charter flights

Travel agents often offer flights to popular tourist destinations at lower prices than regular airlines. We then buy tickets through the office and fly with the group, who purchased the trip on a given date.

We will fly from Warsaw to Hurghada by charter flight, Sharm el-Sheikh and the Gulf of Aqaba. We can often buy tickets even shortly before departure. Information on charter flights can be found on the websites of offices or at their branches.

We can fly to Sharm el-Sheikh by charter from Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Poznań and Kraków, to Hurghada - there are flights from Warsaw, Gdańsk and Katowice, to the Bay of Aqaba, in turn - from Warsaw.

The charter flight must be booked in both directions immediately, in one of the options of dates given by the travel agency (because we have to come back together with the tour group). So this may be a disadvantage, that we do not have completely flexible departure dates here - we have to adapt to the dates set by the office. Usually, however, a cheap airline connection to Egypt is worth it.

Charter flights to Egypt do not run in winter. Flight prices may vary, usually it is the sum of approx. 1000 PLN.

Regular airlines

Regular airline flights usually cost more than charter flights, but in return, we have the comfort of choosing the dates of departure and return that suit us. These flights run all year round, not only in high season.

There is a direct flight connection between Warsaw and Cairo. Flights are operated by LOT, departing from Okęcie three times a week (currently on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays).

We can also choose flight options with a transfer. These can be flights, among others. Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, Austrian Airlines, or a combination of a LOT flight with a flight of one of these lines (normally the return flight is a connecting flight). Return tickets will cost us in this case from 1100 to over 2000 PLN. In the summer season it is not easy to get a lower price ticket - you have to book it well in advance.

Prices for regular flights to Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh are on the level from 1350 to over 2000 PLN. Most often these are flights with a change in Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt am Main or Cairo. Sometimes there are direct LOT flights.
